The Chicago River is one of this country’s greatest public spaces. Its spectacular topography, the great architecture surrounding it (in a city passionate about its architecture), the superb walkways, bridges and other public accommodations along and between its banks, and the way it brings a focal point to one of America’s greatest cities make it indispensable. Hard to imagine the big town without it….
