I’ve hoped that someone would post this online eventually – and they have. A wonderful short film from France – One Eyed Men are Kings. As the info on Wikipedia says, “One-Eyed Men Are Kings (French: Les… borgnes sont rois) is a 1974 short film directed by Michel Leroy and Edmond Sechan. It won an Award in 1975 for Best Short Subject.”

The sound is a bit wobbly (probably owing to a damaged optical soundtrack), but the film is still quite wonderful.
